Oceânico Victoria Course
18holes golf course in Vilamoura
Location and access
The golf courses Oceânico Laguna, Millennium and Victoria are situated in the lowlands of the stream Ribeira de Quarteira between Vilamoura and Albufeira. It is only a six kilometres drive from the entrance to the resort on the EN125 between Almancil and Boliqueime and less than 12 km from the A22 motorway (exit 12).
The Oceânico Victoria, which covers some 90 hectares, is the most recent golf course project from Arnold Palmer in Portugal. As one of the best and most sophisticated golf courses in Europe, great care has been taken to ensure that the wetlands and the typical regional vegetation of carob, olive and almond trees have been preserved. Several lakes, occupying 13 hectares, provide pools of water and strategic reservoirs for irrigation.
The course features 5 or 6 tees per hole; wide, undulating fairways; extensive water hazards and cleverly positioned bunkers. The Oceânico Victoria golf course is an 18-hole, PAR 72 championship layout, measuring 6,651m from the back tees. Opened in 2004, it is a unique, unforgettable experience for all who play there, and is a major venue for top international tournaments: host to the Portugal Masters from 2007-2014 and host to the PGA World Cup in 2005.
